Why do you need a researcher identifier or profile?
Having a researcher identifier or profile means that there is less ambiguity as to who has published a certain paper when there may be different variations of an author’s name or where there is more than one author with the same name.
A researcher identifier makes it easier to accurately measure the impact of particular researchers. It clearly identifies your work and increases its visibility and accessibility.
Researcher profiles can also be browsed by other researchers, prospective research collaborators or employers, students, journalists and funding bodies.
