ACEI2018 will be held at RMIT University on the grounds of the Melbourne CBD campus. The Wurundjeri are the traditional owners of the land where RMIT stands. We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land upon which ACEI2018 will take place and respect elders past and present and their descendants.
The cultural heritage and significance of the land and its traditional custodians is something we encourage all delegates visiting Melbourne to explore further. Delegates can find information on the Aboriginal history of the Yarra region and the Kulin Nation, which is more widely known by its European settlement name of Melbourne.
The City of Melbourne has complied a useful website of sites that are conveniently located for visitors to the Melbourne CBD area and its immediate surrounds. Similarly, Visit Victoria has useful resources concerning local Indigenous culture that covers a wider areas across the State of Victoria.
