The organisers understand that many delegates will be travelling a long way and will be keen to capitalise on their travels DownUnder to experience some local culture and visit some sights. We are providing the opportunity for delegates to meet some friendly Australian wildlife including koalas and kangaroos, taste some local wines at the cellar door on an organised tour that will depart from the main RMIT campus out the front of the conference venue at 445 Swanston Street on Saturday 30 June (the day following the end of the conference). Pick up time will be 9.00am sharp and the trip will return around 4.30pm.
The cost of this is $140 per person and includes all transport via coach with a guide, entry to Healesville Wildlife Sanctuary a two course lunch including a glass of wine at a local winery and a tour of a chocolate factory. The tour is run by Wild Wombat Tours. For a full list of tour inclusions visit their website. This tour usually costs $170 per person from the Melbourne city so it represents good value for money and promises to be a fun day out.
