Attempting to trace, surveil and monitor my own body movements caused by nightmares in the state of unconsciousness, I am using relief sculptures for my project. Studying the physical characteristics of a cotton fabric, the way it drapes, the way it crumbles under tension, and how it forms the shape of the body it is holds; these characteristics were taking physical form by voicing my unconsciousness. It was important for me to freeze and record these responses. The movement of the fabric allows me to understand how and when my body reacts during the stages of my sleep architecture.
