JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Locating Job Advertisements

Searching online for jobs is a common way for graduates to find work. Seek and Indeed are major job ad platforms, however, it is important that you also investigate other organizations that may specialize in advertising positions in your industry.

Look widely for sources of job advertisements. Investigate specialist organizations in your own professional area rather than just the more general ones. Remember that networking, undertaking internships and placements can provide a road into employment. Make use of a variety of techniques.

Brush up on how to apply for advertised positions. Visit the RMIT Career Hub or RMIT Credentials to undertake modules in resume preparation, addressing selection criteria and interview techniques to ensure you are well prepared for any application you might make.

Remember

Finding work can take time.  Expect to make many applications before you get that job you want.

Help and assistance are available from RMIT for 12 months following graduation through the Careers Centre. Use them. They can make all the difference.
