XVII Symposium of Operational Applications in Areas of Defense (SIGE)

Professor Roberto Sabatini delivered an invited lecture series and a keynote paper as part of the XVII Symposium of Operational Applications in Areas of Defense (SIGE) held in Institution Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA), Brazil.

The lectures series was on “Avionics Laser Sensors and Integrated Systems” and covered several aspects of aerospace and defence systems research, with a focus on modelling and simulation for performance and eye-safety analysis.

The successive SIGE XVII keynote paper was entitled “Airborne Lasers and Integrated Weapon Systems: Design, Integration, Test and Evaluation” and focussed more specifically on the engineering and flight test engineering aspects (flight test techniques and instrumentation).

As part of the visit to ITA in Sao Jose dos Campos, Professor Sabatini also discussed collaboration opportunities with Embraer and the ITA Avionics/Robotics Systems departments.
