[ANTI]MATERIA is a self-managed project founded by Doreen A. RĂos that, since 2015, has sought to promote a new generation of digital artists through free and open access exhibitions and academic resources, written in Spanish and, mainly, from Mexico. It proposes the creation of a space capable of opening the way to questions about digital and post-digital production and providing an intangible archive that solidifies this data for consultation. In a complementary way, and with the desire to open the way for interventions and new proposals, international collaboration is considered as a crucial element in the expansion of the platform.
[ANTI]MATERIA was born from the need to consolidate an informative and exhibition website that would involve artistic practices based on digital media carried out by Mexican artists, curators and managers. At the same time, it is committed to the ease of access to information for future research on the subject of digital art and its infinite possibilities.
