Entries in this catalogue have been tagged to enable quick searching via the filter list. These categories are explained below.

 

Audience

  • Indicates resources that are suitable for a general audience.
  • Tags are divided by age suitability (e.g. 16+).

Educator resources

  • Indicates resources that are useful for teachers and educators.
  • Tags are divided according to year levels (e.g. primary, years 5–6).

Includes

  • General-audience resources suitable for students to access directly.
  • Educator-specific resources (e.g. lesson plans, content that requires teacher registration).

Topics

  • Indicates the focus of the resource.
  • Tags are intended as a rough guide only.

Tags and examples

  • Evaluating information: Fact checking, verification and assessing information quality
  • Fakes and altered content: Deepfakes and other types of manipulated audio and imagery
  • Marketing and persuasion: Advertising, propaganda and political campaigns
  • Misinformation basics: Mis/disinformation concepts, types and techniques
  • News literacy: News media concepts such as media bias and framing

Type of resource

  • Indicates the format of the resource (e.g. games, quizzes). There are nine different types.
  • Online modules refers to online lessons for the general public, including students.
  • Professional learning refers to online lessons for educators.
