In this course, you will develop the knowledge and skills required to establish professional digital imaging workflows for image capture, selecting, editing, file management, output and distribution. You will investigate the capabilities of current digital technology for photographic imaging and explore their capabilities and limitations. You will analyse the affordances of contemporary digital technologies and how these have shaped photographic industries in a range of conceptual and professional contexts.  

Course Learning Outcomes 

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:   

  1. Apply knowledge of the theoretical concepts and practical skills in digital photography.
  2. Investigate and apply a range of imaging technologies and software applications in the creation of photographic images. 
  3. Develop effective professional and creative strategies in the creation of contemporary digital workflows. 
  4. Recognise and explore ethical issues in contemporary photographic technologies and processes.
