What are the Learning and Teaching Awards?

The Learning and Teaching Awards are designed to celebrate varied contributions to learning and teaching in multiple contexts and at all career stages. Both academic and professional staff are eligible for an award.

The Learning and Teaching Awards aim to build a culture of learning and teaching excellence by strengthening staff incentives for scholarly teaching and innovation, they can also assist in applications for academic promotion.

In 2020, the Learning and Teaching awards have launched with the brand new ‘Vice-Chancellor’s Awards for Strategic Contributions to Learning and Teaching – Initiatives that exemplify RMIT’s commitment to Reconciliation in the Curriculum.’

Submit your intent to apply as soon as you feel ready – it only takes 5 seconds.

Submitting an intent to apply will ensure that you are kept up to date with Learning and Teaching Award news, updates and invitations to application development workshops to help you prepare your application.

If you’re not sure on your chosen category, you can change this at any time by submitting another response or by contacting teaching.rewards.recognition@rmit.edu.au.

Key dates

The submission portal opens on Wednesday 1 April 2020 and closes at 11:59pm on Friday 1 May 2020.
