Solutions Lab 6 – Virtual Laboratory Simulations for STEM teaching

One of the biggest challenges in the current climate is how to transfer lab sessions online.

Don Wlodkowic has been using Labster – a simple virtual laboratory simulation tool – to teach his practical lab classes online. Labster is an accessible browser-based tool which can be fully integrated into Canvas.

The recording of Don’s session below demonstrates how Labster’s virtual lab simulations allow students to work through real-life case stories, interact with lab equipment, perform experiments and learn with theory and quiz questions. Don has used the tool to teach and assess his students and he shares the feedback he has received from students on this new learning approach.
