In this page, we have a quick look at OSA installation for beginners. Alternately, a step-by-step installation is described here, which gives you more flexibility to govern the entire installation and/or adding more features.
The list of all prerequisites can be found here. The full installation of OSA plugin include the four main following steps.
1. Install KNIME
2. Enable OSA Plugin
3. Install Python, GDAL, and GDAL-Python Bindings.
4. Create/Import a Workflow
First, download and install KNIME according to your operating system from here. You need to input a valid email address to download KNIME. For further instruction on KNIME installation, visit this page.
Second, download the latest jar file of our OSA plugin from the Github. With Knime *closed* copy the JAR file to the dropins directory of the Knime installation. Open Knime and the OSA geospatial nodes will be available.
Third, if you are using a Windows platform and need to perform raster operations, use our installation wizard, to complete the installation of Python, GDAL and its relevant bindings. For a mac platform, you can use GDAL Complete to fully install Python and GDAL.
Forth, make a new workflow, or import the helloworld workflow example to get started. Additionally, from KNIME website, you can learn how to build your first workflow, configure and execute nodes, and inspect the results, as described here.
