SKIRMISH springs forward, embellishing the gallery space with contemporary allegory. Jazz Duncan’s figures breach the confines of dreams in lively gesticulation. Each evoking curiosity, revelation, and gestalt shift in the onlooker.
JAVELIN, the first work in this series, envisions a figure emerging from a space beyond what is known as a high-tension dimensional ambush. If expanded, each work will handle a metallic projectile weapon in a symbolic game of cat-and-mouse. These scale figures alone are intriguing, but together with a tense ambisonic acoustic setup, their interwoven narratives encourage gallery audiences to deeply extrapolate and engage with the dialogue between these tense characters.
