UNTITLED

This multidisciplinary project incorporating textiles, printmaking, and installation, explores the effect of negative thought patterns on everyday life. Focusing on repetitive and obsessive making, I investigate how the creative process can imitate ruminations and reveal a new way of analysing past experiences.

Sarah Catania is a multidisciplinary artist experimenting in printmaking, drawing, textile, sound, and installation. Focusing on mental processes such as thoughts and memories, she uses recycled and found materials to make her personal experiences into tangible artworks.

Sarah is currently practicing between Shepparton and Melbourne, Victoria. She obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of New South Wales (Sydney) and a Master of Fine Art at RMIT University (Melbourne). She has also completed a Graduate Diploma of Psychological Science at Deakin University (Melbourne).  She has shown work in multiple group and solo exhibitions in Sydney and Melbourne.
