An exploration of the many transformative processes of casting metal in relation to my automatic drawings. Drawing has always been the cornerstone of my practice. Drawn lines have a magical nature to them, a nature I have been seeking to capture in metal. Metal casting includes a huge range of techniques and opportunity for the translation of ideas. Through continuous study of the materiality and influence of each process upon liquid metal, I’ve woven those characteristics together with my drawings, to achieve my dimensional, ethereal forms.
I acknowledge and pay respect to the Wurundjeri Woi wurrung people, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which I have been raised and educated. I pay my respects to their Elders past and present. Sovereignty was never ceded.
