I SHOT MYSELF WITH A SILLY LITTLE GUN, IT WAS VERY EASY TO TALK ABOUT.
My art aims to be ‘ultra accessible’ discussing otherwise serious themes with a silly and childish look to it. The use of common material allows the viewer to understand how the work was made and not look at it as a rarefied art object.
My work is largely illustrative but also times is sculptural, all parts come together in a composition that tries to make the viewer feel like they are part of the art work. I find that art-making is a joyous thing to do and hope that when people view my work they can get that same feeling.
