WAVE DYNAMICS: an interweaving of wave phenomena, becoming, and geometric abstraction.
Waves appear in many forms: in the warmth of sunlight, in colour, in the swell of the ocean, in music, and in our heads and hearts. They are fundamental to existence and provide a window into the way the world works.
Within this series of works made from fluted and reeded glass with yarn, Perkins bends our attention to the value of time spent observing nuance, while also gently questioning the precarious nature of perception which is always dependent on our subjective vantage.
