THE WAY FORWARD IS BACK
The world, the universe, began in energy, in light. The first thing recorded, whether it is the Big Bang or Genesis, is light. Light is the finger marks of the creation of the universe. When we look into the beginnings of everything, we use ancient light through a massive telescope. When the Western church wanted to show visions of transcendence they used light through stained glass. In the same way, THE WAY FORWARD IS BACK uses light and abstracted landscape images to show a glimpse of the hand of God in the world.
My practice is concerned with exploring the relationship between space, light and hope – specifically delving into the beauty of the natural world and what that can tell us about our lives and ourselves. What can we learn from nature to be more connected with our full selves? What can we learn from nature in order to be better custodians of our world?
