Welcome to my suburban backyard, where I invite you to immerse yourself in the sensory experience of my nature-inspired art installations, collectively titled Garden. These works reflect my deep connection to the environment, capturing the feelings and sensations I experience in my own garden. My installations include:

Boarded Off, Boarded Off is part of my ongoing series titled Garden, which explores my relationship with my suburban garden and backyard. This work consists of small A5 sheets mounted on clipboards, embodying my idea of a suburban neighbourhood where each plot of land is unique, yet all are contained within a shared boundary that creates a cohesive environment.
The artwork is created using a method of pressing plants and weeds into paint and then applying them to transparent paper. This technique is complemented by painted swatches of colours inspired by my environment, reflecting the natural hues found in my garden. By using this approach, I aim to capture the essence of each individual space while highlighting the interconnectedness of the entire neighbourhood. Through Boarded Off, I hope to invite viewers to reflect on their own relationships with their surroundings and the subtle beauty of suburban life.

Layering years. Much of my upbringing has been spent in this garden, which has grown and aged alongside me. This space embodies many layers of history, marked by past pests, family events, and the structures that have come and gone. While my garden has transformed significantly over the years, it simultaneously retains a sense of continuity that is deeply comforting.
In Layering Years, I have created a work using layered spray paint, stenciled from tree branches with leaves that have flourished since my earliest memories. Each layer I apply represents not only the physical changes in my garden but also the passage of time and the experiences that have shaped it. This process of layering feels akin to adding years to my ever evolving.
