Sticky stuff: exploring human-object relationships through found materials.
This install-based project uses accumulating, arranging and documenting an excess of found everyday materials to consider human-object relationships. Through humorous and absurd gestures, I reconsider objects and images as things that actively shape our world just as much as we shape their existence and meaning.
Working primarily with found digital and physical materials, I playfully interact with objects to question my understanding of identity, culture and value. I am interested in the individual as the collector, the tension between purpose and obsession, and alternate methods of documenting that arise from novice archivists pursuing preservation.
