QUIET CURIOSITIES: EXPLORING PERSONAL REVERIE THROUGH COLLECTED ASSEMBLAGE AND PARALLEL PAINTING.

My art practice combines assemblage and painting – transforming overlooked materials, found objects and personal artefacts into a visual language that evokes curiosity and wonder. The paraphernalia of everyday life – bric-a-brac, textiles, and keepsakes – provide a rich resource for exploring my relationship with time and memory. Drawing inspiration from the seventeenth-century aesthetic of curiosities and the tradition of still life painting, I investigate how meaning shifts between object and painting, focusing on the delicate space between representation and imagination.
