TO/FROM SMITHEREENS – Some time ago, I watched as a small cataclysm occurred.
While walking down by the creek, something impossibly bright fell from the sky, burst through the boughs of an old jarrah tree, and blasted deep into the creekside piled high with discarded industrial rubble. Sparks exploded into the air as pieces ricocheted off in semi-molten shards, screeching through the air. Once the smoke cleared, I set to gathering up the debris. Each piece was still hot to the touch, charged with an energy settling into dormancy.
I have since tried to reconcile the collection of debris I found. To de-explode, re-condense, fuse, and bind it together. I’m not so sure it looks like that great shining thing I half saw, blinded by the light, but for now, it seems stable enough.
