GRIDS

One day, I noticed it. I cannot remember where or when, or even in what form, but suddenly, grids were everywhere.

I have since been aiming to understand grids in relation to human life. Grids occur physically throughout the environment and manufactured architectural landscape, and may also symbolise socio political structures that humans exist within. They may also symbolise human’s innate nature to section, divide and group as a method for understanding and functioning. In creating these works, I was focused on letting the grid appear through intuitive making, so as not to judge what they mean, rather, I want them to speak for themselves. I will leave you with a question; How do these grids make you feel?
