Search for the elusive homely

This project is a reflection on distance and unfamiliarity, more specifically nostalgia (distance from the past) and exile (distance from home), how in this distance, things can become unfamiliar and lost. In my work, I ask myself what is homely to me, having lived an itinerate and uprooted life. Utilising the nomadic and elegiac nature of family photographs and found objects, and turning them into artworks. This project is a meandering through different mediums, visions and states of being, in an attempt of restitution and to find home in making art.
