UNPLAYED MEMORIES focuses on empty playgrounds and tiled passageways in ordinary daylight. In these paintings, I use both vivid and pastel colours to shift familiar environments into something slightly dream-like. Slides and corridors appear paused in time, holding traces of movement without the people who once used them. I am interested in how childhood spaces can feel slightly out of sync when I return to them, and how memory can be bright, unstable. and a little distorted.
I draw influence from early 2000s internet culture and games I grew up with. By blending this digital visual memory with real urban architecture, I explore how childhood media continues to shape my view of familiar public spaces today.
