UTOPIA (REMIND ME) explores the significance of the object in connection to memory. The work comprises of 5 monuments made after significant objects from my personal spaces. The objects aren’t of inherent value or sentimentality, but I can’t let them go. These things have been acquired at different points in my childhood, adolescence and adulthood. Following me through homes their presence connects me to past moments, feelings and self.  Through this monumentalisation, I honour my desire to hold onto that connection, my longing for times before and the nature of memory as an escape.

My practice is cross-disciplinary, encompassing and combining sculpture, painting, drawing, and performance.  My recent works have centered on the my relationship to comfort in the transitional experience of young female adulthood, playfully explored through use of colour, reference, humour, absurdity and craft technique.
