Fragments of Earthly Memory

My work embodies a quiet alchemy of transformation, where natural elements become vessels of memory and protection. In Ritual Memory, four ritual vessels echo the cycles of fire, earth, water, and wind—each symbolizing a state of nature’s continual renewal.
Through the techniques of lost-wax casting, inlay, and metal–turquoise fusion, I aim to transform moments of heat and stillness into meditative acts of making. Each process traces the material’s passage through melting and solidification, revealing its capacity to hold memory. The stones—some raw, some polished—speak in their own silent language, suggesting that matter remembers its transformations.
My practice navigates the threshold between the human and the elemental, drawing from Buddhist and animistic philosophies to question what endures and what fades.
Suspended between adornment and offering, these works invite stillness—a meditation on transformation, time, and the fragile continuity of all things.

Ritual Memory consists of four spiritual ritual objects symbolizing the elements of fire, earth, water, and wind. Using metal, antler, crystal, and wood as mediums, the work embodies the energy of memory and emotion, exploring the spiritual resonance between humans and materials. By preserving the natural textures and traces of life, each piece becomes a vessel connecting the inner self with nature, evoking sensations of protection, transformation, and cyclical renewal.

Anam Cara, meaning “soul friend,” is inspired by the Celtic understanding of nature—where the earth is sacred, and every stone, tree, and river holds its own story, forming an eternal, harmonious cycle. Crafted from silver, brass, and shell, the piece embodies the vitality and rhythm of land and sea. The intertwining vines symbolize resilience and the continuity of life, reflecting the deep connections among all living things, while the shell evokes the fluid, nurturing energy of the ocean. Together, they express a profound resonance between humans and nature, conveying protection, interdependence, and the timeless cycles of life.

The Enchanted was a journey deeply rooted in my passion for crystals and raw minerals. From the outset, my intention was to harness the inherent energy of these natural elements and channel them into pieces that transcend mere adornment. Central to the series are the stones themselves—lazurite, moonstone, obsidian, and Mexican opal—each chosen for its unique energetic properties and symbolic significance. As I combined these stones with varying hues of enamel, a narrative emerged that speaks to the dynamic forces of the natural world. Through the juxtaposition of materials and colors, I sought to weave a tale of transformation and resilience, reflecting the cyclical nature of existence and the perpetual evolution of the Earth. The process of soldering brass and copper layers, preserving the brass sheet design while adorning the copper with enameling powder, was both a technical challenge and a creative opportunity. It allowed me to imbue each piece with layered meanings—metaphorically mirroring the complexity of the natural world itself.

Intertwined Essence investigates the intricate relationships between human experiences and the non-human world through the integration of ready-made objects and natural materials. The central component of the work is a wooden clip—a familiar, functional object traditionally used to preserve and hold. In this context, the clip operates as a conduit for personal reflection, symbolizing the human impulse to retain and transform memories. In the composition, the wooden clip is carefully integrated with natural elements such as smoky quartz, shell, seed pods, and wood. Each material contributes its inherent qualities and histories, creating layered meanings and resonances. Through this interplay, the work seeks to illuminate the complex interconnections between identity, memory, and environment, encouraging viewers to reconsider their perceptions and reflect on the delicate balance between human and non-human realms.
