Abstract:
Beyond Green: Sensing Biomaterials through Exhibition and Workshop is a curatorial research project that explores how biomaterials can be understood through exhibition and hands-on making. Through a lifecycle-based exhibition and the participatory workshop Grow Your Fabric, audiences engage with materials visually, tactilely, and reflectively. Drawing on theories of material biography and speculative design, the project proposes curating as a method for translating sustainability into an embodied and imaginative public experience—one that challenges audiences to sense, interpret and rethink the material futures of fashion.
