Flower Monument – Friendship – 2022

I combine real flowers, paper flowers, a mannequin, and personal artefacts to portray an imagined image of my father, how friends and family may have seen him for the last time before saying goodbye forever. The replacement of the mannequin’s head with a bouquet of flowers is designed to surprise the viewer and to suggest symbolic meanings.
