‘Sew, what’s wrong with you?’ is a large-scale soft sculpture installation work, using humour and the Pop Art style to engage with topics of pain, disability and medical spaces in a light-hearted way.
I am a multi-disciplinary artist working in soft sculpture sewing, oil and acrylic painting, and crafts. My work looks at personal experiences with disability and chronic pain, and the complexity and intersectionality of acquired disabilities with the personal, social, and political impacts.
I find the practice of making and discussing my work healing as it gives purpose to my pain and suffering.
