UNRAVELLING is a textile-based work that uses both handmade and found materials to delve into the themes of women’s work, girlhood and personal history. Through weaving and patchworking, the work explores how textiles can hold memory and identity, much like the women who crafted them. This project aims to uncover stories embedded within fabric, where each thread serves as a metaphor for the often-overlooked labour and care traditionally associated with women’s work. Viewers are invited to reflect on the ways personal history and identity are woven together, examining the enduring influence of girlhood and familial legacy on self-understanding.
