Abstract:
This research proposes a sustainable framework for interdisciplinary collaborations between visual artists and technology enterprises by identifying key factors, processes, and outcomes. Based on a critical literature review and multi-case study, the study identifies creative freedom, goal balance, value alignment, and cultural adoption as critical factors. The collaborative process comprises external inputs, cross-platform working, technology tools, and public engagement, leading to individual and organisational outcomes. As visual artists face declining incomes and funding cuts, partnerships with tech firms present a viable alternative to sustain creative practice. The proposed framework supports mutually beneficial strategies—enhancing artists’ visibility and resources while fostering innovation and cultural relevance for enterprises. It provides practical guidance for future collaboration models and can inform policymaking and funding strategies to support emerging artists. By bridging creative and technological fields, this research aims to strengthen interdisciplinary practice and offer long-term solutions for sustaining artistic careers in a rapidly evolving industry.
