Author: Sheridan

Sheridan is an emerging artist based in Melbourne/Naarm, whose practice engages with the ecological crisis not only as an environmental issue but as a cultural one. Working primarily in paint, she investigates the entangled relationships between the human and nonhuman worlds, often drawing on theories of dark ecology, postcolonial history and environmental loss. Underlying her interest in ecology is a desire to re-enchant people with the world around them, moving them from detachment toward recognition, empathy and responsibility.
