Utilising a combination of self-portraiture, social media screenshots, archival photography and handwritten reflections from personal journals, Eloise explores the disenchantment of love and modern dating with honesty and a sense of humour. With UNDEFINED, she deconstructs the idyllic narratives of love fed to us throughout our youth, and the depictions of dating in modern media as quirky, exciting and magical. Through a comedic yet sobering lens, she lays bare what the dating scene of today is for many: empty, confronting and—at times—emotionally wounding.
