DIGITAL WONDERSCAPES
Exploring the wonder and new ways of seeing natural phenomena through atmospheric colourful light projections
I use the ephemeral nature of light to explore and interrogate new ways of seeing, by employing digital techniques and by manipulating natural phenomena into a series of fragmented images.
Actively seeking to discover an unseen world, a world full of wonder and otherworldliness, I repurpose the images accessible from the Internet. These found images range from microscopic creatures to mundane objects viewed through high-resolution lenses. By fragmenting, dissecting and reassembling these images in post-production, I deliberately created a hyper-colour and abstract sensory world. The images are meant to present a commentary on the illusions, blind spots and limitations of our human eye.
