ARTS EDUCATION PLATFORM: BEYOND THE BOUNDARIES
In commemoration of the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Australia and Korea, a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP) agreement has been forged. The primary objective of this agreement is to enhance the strategic international relations between the two nations by fostering expanded cooperation across the domains of art, research, and education. In this context, the project proposes the use of an online platform as a stepping stone to facilitate and perpetuate artistic exchanges between the two countries.
Beyond the Boundaries stands as an innovative educational platform anchored in the metaverse, with the overarching goal of establishing a novel global art sphere within a virtual environment. This initiative seeks to transcend the cultural, physical, and linguistic barriers encountered by both nations.
To elucidate the platform’s specific direction, this project conducted an exhaustive examination, including a comparative analysis of the F-10 curriculum (version 8.4) as outlined by the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) and the revised 2020 art curriculum put forth by the National Curriculum and Information Center (NCIC) in Korea. This analysis was augmented by the exploration of collaborative art projects originating from both countries, alongside a comprehensive review of scholarly studies on the application of the metaverse in art education.
