Ma. Klarissa Camagong

Ma. Klarissa Camagong (Isa) is a photographer and video artist based in Naarm/Melbourne. Her practice explores the relationship between nature, emotion, and impermanence through still and moving imagery. Drawing inspiration from the forces of wind and light, her works often unfold through subtle movements, shadows, and ephemeral textures that evoke introspection and transformation.

Originally from the Philippines, Camagong relocated to Australia to pursue her Master of Photography at RMIT University, where she continues to develop an experimental, installation-based practice that merges sound, video, and tactile materials. Her capstone project, Whispers of Time (2025), extends this exploration into spatial and sensory experience—inviting audiences to encounter the delicate traces of change, memory, and time.

Alongside her artistic practice, Camagong has worked professionally as a photographer, videographer, and editor, combining technical precision with an atmospheric visual language.

Whispers of Time
I Am the Wind

A personal journey through wind as a poetic language of impermanence, where presence dissolves into what is felt but cannot be held.

Still image, moving image, sound, and fabric installation

Whispers of Time explores the invisible presence of air and its quiet influence on the world around us. Through suspended fabric prints, moving images, and soft sound, the installation transforms natural forces—wind, light, and shadow—into a contemplative sensory experience. Each element moves delicately within the space, blurring the line between material and immaterial, stillness and motion.

This body of work emerges from Camagong’s ongoing fascination with impermanence and the unseen rhythms of nature. By using translucent fabrics and projected imagery, she captures fleeting gestures of air and time, allowing traces of wind to become visible through texture, light, and movement. The layering of still and moving imagery creates an environment that seems to breathe—inviting viewers to pause and sense the fragile equilibrium between transience and presence.

Grounded in photography but extending into installation and sound, Whispers of Time is both visual and atmospheric. It reflects on how change, memory, and emotion can be carried by forces we cannot hold, and how perception itself becomes a dialogue between what appears and what disappears.
