Growing up YouTube introduced me to absurd otherworldly online personalities who I idolised. The immature democratised sharing of video content on early YouTube has heavily influenced this project, inspiring me to create my own universe.
I learned about most of the world through what I consumed through the internet as a child. Discovering my queer identity through the online media. This helped me mend the physical detachment from LGBTQIA+ culture I had growing up in rural Victoria. In the physical world body modification such as makeup, fashion, HRT and surgery play a big role in allowing trans and genderqueer people like myself to inhabit a comfortable body.
Through the power of the green screen I have been able to enter the digital landscape and construct my digital persona.
