VULNERABLE is an immersive experience of visual and emotional rhythm, movement, sound, and light. Vulnerability is power. Power is gained through relationships and connections with other people, which is grounded in the ability and willingness to be vulnerable. The work is an emotive and poetic exploration of vulnerability as the critical intersection between power and connection and relationships, using visual languages of abstraction and documentary.
vulnerable builds from a previous socially-engaged project that invited the public to consider and share what makes them feel powerful, where the overwhelming response was related to relationships and connection.
vulnerable is experienced as a photobook and audio through headphones.
