What is Padlet?

Padlet is an online collaborative tool (like a live post it note board) that can support learning activities in any delivery mode. You can create different types of Padlet boards with different layouts for a variety of purposes.  You can post text, images, links, videos, and documents from any device which are then collated on Padlet in real time so this is a great tool to use within your class but can also be used as a self-paced activity.

Students do not need a Padlet account in order to interact with your Padlet.  They can access it via Padlet or via a QR code in class on any device.

Padlet can be used for a variety of purposes such as:

  • Sharing information and resources
  • Brainstorming
  • Ice-breakers and introductions
  • Mind Maps
  • Group formation, task allocation and communiction
  • Mood boards
  • Collect, reflect and present
  • Responding to questions posed
