RMIT Creds

RMIT Creds is a university-wide, digital micro-credentials program designed to help students develop industry-ready skills. Creds are essentially short courses that range from 30-minute snippets to more intensive online programs running over several weeks. Once successfully completed, students can claim a digital badge and share it on social media.

Access to creds has changed

A reminder that student access to embedded Creds has now changed.

Students are no longer automatically enrolled in Creds. Instead, they must self-enrol into the Short Course (via the Digital MarketPlace) by accessing the Creds landing page within Canvas that will lead them directly to the enrolment page for the Cred.

Please note that the Learning Design team is supporting the creation of the landing pages in Canvas, so please email if you need help.

Students can continue to seek support for Creds through Ask your instructor on Canvas or through RMIT Connect. Any technical issues for Creds can be directed to ITS.

Planning assessments with Creds?

If you would like your course to have a Facilitated Cred (submitted for marking) for assessment, please inform the Learning Design team ASAP at This will allow the team to support the Creds assessments schedules and ensure student assessments are marked on time.
