The Learning Enhancement & Teaching Support (LETS) team works in collaboration with academics and program teams to improve and share best practice in learning and teaching across DSC.

What we do

We work collaboratively with our academics and program teams in DSC to improve learning and teaching in the College. We provide professional learning to enhance your skills and expertise in the design and delivery of high quality, engaging and authentic learning that prepares students for the globalised work world.

We also identify and share good practice occurring in Schools through communities of practice that recognise and support innovation and scholarship of learning and teaching.

Designing and Developing

We help you with designing curriculum for new courses and programs or reviewing and updating current curriculum
We can help you with designing curriculum for new courses and programs or reviewing and updating current curriculum, starting with course guides to ensure learning outcomes, assessment and activities are authentic and aligned.
We will also work with the ADG Learning Design team as required to enhance the blended/hybrid design and delivery of your courseware in Canvas.

We have expertise in: assessment, embedding Belonging and Indigenous perspectives, inclusive practices, blended learning, active learning, design and art-based pedagogies, employability, academic integrity, practical learning and teaching strategies

Professional Learning

We provide hands-on workshops and one-to-one sessions to help you improve students’ learning experiences and in turn, your CES outcomes.

We will work collaboratively with you in hands-on workshops and one-to-one sessions to help you improve students’ learning experiences and in turn, your CES outcomes. We draw on best practice, current research and emerging trends to discuss and determine solutions to problems and innovations in your areas of need/interest. We will draw on expertise of the ADG Learning Design and Quality Enhancement teams when required to ensure your professional learning is holistic and relevant.

We can advise you on ideas to help solve your learning and teaching problems or explore areas of interest in your teaching
Sometimes you want help and don’t know what you need. We can triage your problem and help determine a solution. We take a holistic approach when unpacking an issue and will work with you to find a ‘doable’ way forward that suits your time and capacity to commit.

We can advise you on ideas, innovations and projects to help solve your learning and teaching problems or explore areas of interest in your teaching.
