Other Digital Technologies

There are many other tools and platforms that teachers at RMIT use as part of their learning and teaching. Below we will touch on some of the more common ones teachers currently use in their courses.

Please note that RMIT does not have a licence for these tools neither does it provides technical support. The use of some of these tools is up to the discretion and responsibility of the teacher.

Slack:

is a communication tool providing a space for messaging, tools and files. 

Wikipedia:

is a free online encyclopedia, created and edited by volunteers around the world and hosted by the Wikimedia Foundation.

Vimeo:

An ad free, video hosting, sharing, and services platform

Wordpress:

is a free website/blog builder. 

Sway:

is a presentation program that you can create and share interactive reports, presentations, personal stories, and more.

H5P:

is an open-source platform that allows you to build interactive content.  is a communication tool providing a space for messaging, tools and files. 

Padlet:

is an online virtual board, where users collaborate by sharing links and images. 

Canva:

a graphic design platform that allows users to create social media graphics, presentations, posters and other visual content.

Wakelet:

is a content curation space, where videos, links, images and social media posts are shared. 

Mural:

is a virtual workspace for visual collaboration, it used for brainstorming.
